Privacy Policy

The short version: we never see your private keys, your seed phrase, or your funds. The long version is below.

Last updated May 2026 Non-custodial

TL;DR

  • Your seed phrase and private keys never leave your device. We cannot see them.
  • We do not require an account, an email, or KYC to use the wallet.
  • We collect anonymous usage analytics and crash reports. Both are opt-out.
  • The AI assistant only sees what you type and the public on-chain data needed to answer. It never sees your keys.
  • You can delete your local wallet data at any time by uninstalling the app or extension.

Who we are

Axon Wallet is built and maintained by Axon Labs, the data controller for the limited information described in this policy. References to "we", "our", and "us" mean Axon Labs. References to "the wallet" mean the Axon Wallet mobile app and Chrome extension.

This policy explains what data we collect, what we do with it, and what choices you have. If anything is unclear, email privacy@axonwallet.app.

What we never collect

To be unambiguous, the following are never collected, transmitted, or accessible to us:

  • Your seed phrase, mnemonic, or any private key.
  • The plaintext of your encrypted vault.
  • Your biometric data (Face ID, Touch ID). Authentication happens locally on your device.
  • Account passwords or unlock PINs.
  • Government IDs, social security numbers, bank details, or KYC documents.

If anyone, including someone claiming to be from Axon Labs, asks you for any of the above, it is a phishing attempt. We will never ask.

What we do collect

We try to collect as little as possible. The categories below are an exhaustive list of what the wallet and this website may transmit to us or our processors.

From the wallet

  • Anonymous usage analytics (opt-out): aggregate counts of features used (for example, "swap completed", "chain switched"). No wallet addresses, no transaction details, no IP addresses are linked to the events we store.
  • Crash reports (opt-out): a stack trace, OS version, and app version at the moment of a crash. Stripped of personal identifiers before storage.
  • Network requests: when you load balances or send a transaction, the wallet talks to public RPC endpoints. Those endpoints see your wallet address. We do not log them.
  • Update checks: the app checks for new versions, which means our update server sees your IP address and app version at that moment. Logs are rotated on a 30-day cycle.

From this website

  • Standard server logs (IP, user agent, requested path) retained for 14 days for abuse prevention.
  • If you optionally subscribe to product updates: your email address.

From you, voluntarily

  • Anything you send to hello@axonwallet.app or our help center: your message and the email you sent it from.

How we use your data

The limited data we hold is used only to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the wallet and this website.
  • Diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
  • Understand which features are useful and which are not.
  • Send you product updates if you opted in (you can unsubscribe in one click).
  • Respond to your support questions.
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising or build profiles of you. We do not share it with data brokers.

AI processing

When you give Axon a command in plain language, the text of that command is sent to our AI routing service so it can plan a response. To plan well, the AI may also be given:

  • The chain or token you mentioned.
  • Your wallet's public address, only if needed to look up balances or quote a route.
  • Public on-chain data (prices, pool liquidity, gas estimates).

The AI is never given:

  • Your seed phrase, private key, or password.
  • The contents of your encrypted vault.
  • Authority to sign or broadcast a transaction. Every signature requires your tap.

Prompts and AI responses are stored for up to 30 days, in aggregate and stripped of identifying metadata, to improve the assistant. You can disable AI history retention in Settings > Privacy > AI history.

Third-party services

The wallet relies on a small set of third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies; we link each one below.

  • RPC providers (e.g. Alchemy, Infura, public endpoints): receive your wallet address when fetching balances or broadcasting transactions.
  • DEX aggregators and routers (e.g. Jupiter, 1inch, Uniswap): receive trade parameters and your wallet address when you request a quote or sign a swap.
  • Bridges: receive cross-chain transfer parameters when you initiate a bridge.
  • Block explorers: opening a transaction in an explorer link will reveal your wallet address to that explorer.
  • App distribution: Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Chrome Web Store collect their own install and usage data per their policies.
  • Crash reporting: a privacy-respecting crash service that processes anonymized stack traces.
  • Email delivery: if you subscribe to updates, our email provider stores your address.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no fingerprinting. We use a single first-party cookie to remember your reduced-motion preference, and a session cookie if you log into the (future) account portal. The Chrome extension uses local browser storage only.

Data retention

  • Server logs: 14 days.
  • Crash reports: 90 days, then deleted.
  • AI prompts and responses (anonymized aggregate): up to 30 days.
  • Email subscription list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Support correspondence: 24 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and similar regimes), you have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing.

Because we hold so little personal data, most requests are simple. To exercise any right, email privacy@axonwallet.app from the address associated with your request. We aim to respond within 30 days.

You also always have the most fundamental right: uninstall the wallet, and your local data is gone. We cannot follow you off the device.

Children

Axon Wallet is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email privacy@axonwallet.app and we will delete it.

International transfers

Axon Labs is incorporated outside the EU. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms to protect it to the standard required by your jurisdiction.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the wallet evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, announced in-app or by email to subscribers. The current version is always linked from the website footer.
